ESAs are operating in an environment of rapid change. Funding pressures, evolving district needs, workforce challenges, and emerging technologies are reshaping how ESAs think about growth, sustainability, and service delivery.
The Business Strategy Framework (BSF) 2.0: Managing Strategic Resources workshop is designed to help ESA leaders navigate these challenges and position their organizations for long-term success. This highly interactive experience brings together ESA leaders from across the country to explore practical strategies for managing uncertainty, driving innovation, and building sustainable organizations.
The workshop features Dr. Duncan Simester, MIT professor and nationally recognized expert in business strategy, innovation, and artificial intelligence, alongside AESA Business Consultants Andy Pechacek and Doreen Marvin. Together, they will guide participants through key topics, including:
- Competitive Strategy & Application to the Business of AI
- Managing Strategic Uncertainty
- Partnering on AI
- Organizing for Strategy
Participants will examine how AI is influencing organizational strategy, service delivery, and decision-making while exploring ways to strengthen their ESA's competitive position and future viability.

Individuals: $2,450; Team of 3 or more: $2,200 per person.
CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations made in writing before September 25, 2026, will be refunded in full, less a $50 per person processing fee. Cancellations received on or after September 25, 2026, until October 12, 2026, will be refunded at 50%. If a cancellation refund is issued, AESA will refund the registration amount less the nonrefundable payment processing fee associated with the original transaction. NO REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED AFTER October 12, 2026. Cancellations MUST be emailed to afiene@aesa.us.

The workshop will be held on Monday and Tuesday, October 26-27, 2026, at the AC Marriott St. Petersburg Downtown, 110 2nd St, N, ST. Petersburg, FL 33701. The workshop will run from 9 am to 4:00 pm Monday and 8:30 am to 3:00 pm Tuesday.
