Luke Schaefer is a proud father of two charming children and a happy husband of a wonderful wife. He has served as CEO of Central Regional Education Association (CREA), one of the ND’s Regional Education Associations, since 2012. Schaefer is the Chair of the ND K12 Education Coordination Council and serves on many other statewide committees. Luke taught students to appreciate and love music in grades 5-12 for 7 years in Des Lacs-Burlington where he also served as the Accreditation Lead Team Chair, Tech Team member, and coach for football, wrestling, and track. After serving under multiple administrators, he realized his desire to affect change at a different level and led the students and staff of Sawyer as their Superintendent and HS Principal. Luke believes in opportunities that can create synergy, a focus on continuous improvement, and increasing the desire to learn which persistently guides him in his profession.
