Driving Angels provides a comprehensive 9-month safe driving curriculum designed to help high schools engage students in meaningful conversations about driver safety throughout the school year. Each monthly lesson focuses on the 'why' behind critical safe driving messages, helping students better understand the choices and behaviors that impact their safety and the safety of others on the road. The curriculum is designed to support a student-led Driving Angels committee by providing monthly themes, discussion guides, activity ideas, and awareness campaign concepts that students can use to communicate important safety messages to their peers. Schools receive a structured roadmap that empowers students to lead outreach efforts and promote a culture of safe driving within their school community. Driving Angels provides the curriculum in either digital or printed format to any high school willing to establish a safe driving committee. Participating schools also receive promotional materials and Driving Angels t-shirts for committee members to help build visibility and engagement throughout the year. In addition, Driving Angels partners with local law enforcement to facilitate a court-approved traffic diversion program for students cited for minor traffic offenses. Through this program, eligible students attend a four-hour Saturday safe driving class focused on education, accountability, and better decision-making behind the wheel. Upon successful completion, the traffic citation may be dismissed, allowing students to learn from the experience without the long-term financial impact of fines and increased insurance costs.
