Last Opportunity to Take BSF 1.0 Before Fall 2026 BSF 2.0 Workshop
|
As AESA prepares to offer Business Strategy Framework (BSF) 2.0 next fall, this spring marks the final opportunity to participate in the foundational BSF 1.0 experience.
BSF 1.0 is where the work begins. This hands-on workshop helps ESA teams think strategically about how they create, capture, and deliver value, using a structured, question-driven approach grounded in real agency work.
While BSF 1.0 is no longer a required prerequisite, it is strongly encouraged for teams planning to attend BSF 2.0 or other Business Strategy Framework offerings. Leaders who begin with the foundational course are better prepared to fully engage in advanced strategy conversations and apply the learning more effectively.
This final opportunity is being hosted by Region 12 in Texas, which has generously opened its workshop to ESA teams from across the country.
(Next Week) May 18–19, 2026 | Waco, TX BSF 1.0 Workshop
If your team is planning ahead for BSF 2.0 next fall, this is the moment to start with a shared foundation.

Protecting IEP Access During School Transitions
|
School mobility is high nationwide, but for students with disabilities, a new zip code often means a "transfer gap" in essential services. For military families, this can be a 4-month wait. Without standard definitions, families often face grueling delays in getting their children the help they need. To address this, a panel of experts has established a new shared vocabulary for the field. This consensus acts as a powerful policy lever designed to safeguard educational rights and ensure seamless transitions for every student, no matter where they move.

Project Tomorrow is currently administering the 2026 K–12 Cybersecurity Survey, part of a five-year national research initiative in partnership with iboss. AASA SURVEY: Impact of Diesel Prices on School Budgets
AASA is collaborating with the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) and the National Association for Pupil Transportation) to understand how rising diesel fuel prices are creating new and unplanned pressure on school district budgets. Because transporting students is not optional, districts must absorb higher fuel costs when prices rise unexpectedly-often by cutting or delaying spending elsewhere. The brief survey (3–5 minutes) give them important data on how increased diesel costs are affecting district budgets in the current school year, summer programming, and planning for the 2026–27 school year. Access the survey here.
