A Closer Look at AESA’s Networks

This week we start a three-week series focusing on each network individually. Up first is our Women's Leadership Network!

The Women’s Leadership Network is a vibrant community created for women, by women, dedicated to supporting both seasoned and aspiring leaders. Our network offers opportunities for women from diverse backgrounds to connect and build a nationwide support system, empowering them to make a meaningful impact in their organizations.

The Women’s Leadership Network provides a safe and inclusive forum where members can discuss important issues and further their professional and personal journeys. Our open-guided discussions are centered around pre-read books, fostering rich, insightful conversations.

The network is divided into three cohorts. Each cohort will meet virtually for six 90-minute sessions. (Cohort 1 starts in a little less than a month!) Registrations are limited to 25 participants per cohort.

Session Dates

  • Cohort 1: August 13, October 8, December 10, February 11, April 8
  • Cohort 2: September 5, November 7, January 9, March 6, May 8
  • Cohort 3: September 17, November 19, January 14, March 18, May 13 June 10 - End of Year Celebration for All Cohorts

Our in-person gathering will be March 4-5, 2025 in Palm Springs, CA. The face-to-face meeting provides network members with a learning opportunity focusing on current trends and issues. Keynote presenters are selected based on the content and will lead discussion and collaboration.

Stay tuned for updates on our focused topics, which are currently under review and will be shared with registrants soon. Join us and be part of a movement that champions women's leadership and growth!

HeyTutor, one of the largest in-person tutoring companies in the United States, was recently named “Educational Support System of the Year” in the annual EdTech Breakthrough Awards program. The award recognizes HeyTutor’s state-of-the-art technology platform, approach to high-dosage, in-person tutoring, and dedication to helping school districts address pandemic-related learning loss.

“HeyTutor’s blended in-person and technology-forward approach is the perfect marriage of tutor and technology,” said Steve Johansson, managing director, EdTech Breakthrough. “Although the benefits of high-dosage, in-person tutoring are well documented, HeyTutor is capable of delivering in-person tutoring on a large scale… combining state-of-the-art technology with old-fashioned, in-person tutoring, so more time can be focused on students’ needs and ultimate success.”

Founded in Los Angeles in 2014 as a virtual marketplace to match tutors with students, HeyTutor pivoted in 2020 to help school districts address pandemic-related learning loss. Today the company serves thousands of students in school districts across the country, including Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, New Jersey, Maine, Missouri, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin.
