Her colleagues describe Dr. Clay's impact on her community and the educational landscape as nothing short of remarkable. With an unwavering dedication to service and a heart brimming with compassion, she has consistently inspired others through her infectious enthusiasm and commitment to collaboration.
A retired Army Command Sergeant Major with 25 years of service, Dr. Clay's journey in education spans 16 years, encompassing roles as a teacher, assistant principal, and director of career and technical education (CTE). Currently, she serves as the superintendent of schools in Cochise County.
Dr. Clay's accolades and recognitions are a testament to her exemplary leadership and tireless advocacy. From being honored on the Veterans' Wall at Canyon Vista Medical Center to receiving prestigious awards such as Arizona's Career and Technical Education Administrator of the Year and the Policymaker Award from the Association for Career and Technical Education of Arizona, her contributions have left a lasting mark on the field of education.
